These sculptures explore the intimate interdependence at the heart of living systems, where the existence of one relies on the dissolution of another, and decomposition becomes the condition for new life.

Wood serves as host to layered ceramic discs of varying size, thickness and pattern. Through accumulation, the materials transform: what begins as wood and clay dissolves into something else entirely, as if a new organism were pulling itself into being.
